Apero Engagement Session in Biddeford, Maine, with a Coastal Maine Beach Chaser

If you've been hunting for an engagement session location that doesn't look like every other engagement session location, let us point you to Apero in Biddeford, Maine! It's a small cocktail bar and lounge tucked into the mill district, and it photographs like a film set...the curved bar with green tile and brass globe pendants, leather tufted barstools, a velvet sofa under a gold dome light. It is genuinely one of the most photogenic interiors in southern Maine, and it pairs perfectly with the sand and surf five minutes down the road at Bayview Beach in Saco. That's exactly the combo we created with Ally and Mason's engagement session...cocktails and custom espresso martinis at Apero, then a full coastal Maine beach run at golden hour with Ally's lace dress flying.
Apero isn't a typical bar that lets photographers wander in. They book the space privately for engagement sessions (among other things!), and you need to coordinate with them directly on timing and the rental fee. Reach out to Apero through their website (aperobiddeford.com) or their Instagram (@apero.biddeford) to ask about availability, the current rate for a session, and what time of day works best for them. The light in there is best mid-to-late afternoon when the afternoon light is still coming in the front windows and the pendant lighting starts to glow. They're typically more flexible on weekday afternoons than weekend nights when they are open for business hours.
Our engagement sessions, as of April 2026, are $600 and include 2 hours of shoot time, 2 locations, and 2 outfits. If you're booking us for your wedding day photography, that same engagement session drops to $300, which is exactly the format Ally and Mason used. So if Apero + coastal Maine engagement session + a wife-husband team that has already scouted both is sounding like your kind of afternoon, send us a note and we'll get you on the calendar!
