Saltonstall Farm Wedding in June -Stratham, New Hampshire

On a picturesque spring day in early June, Jenna and Jason said their I Dos in a meadow on Saltonstall Farm in southern New Hampshire. Approximately 175 of their friends and family gathered from around the country to celebrate this incredible couple and soak in the idyllic New England sun.

That kind of forecast was never a sure thing, though. For the majority of the week leading up to the big day they were calling for a rainy, possibly even stormy, Saturday. But as the weekend drew closer, things started to look up. And when arrived at the farm it was as bright and crisp as you could want! Jenna was upstairs inside the beautifully renovated farmhouse in the final stages of hair and makeup, done by the talented Janna of JW Artistry.

With a few final touches and several emotional moments with her mom, Jenna walked out of her prep room for a big reveal with her bridesmaids!

Meanwhile Jason was downstairs in the dark, moody, wonderfully detailed room where he and his groomsmen were hanging out. HIs best man helped him with his jacket and made sure Jason looked on point before getting ready to head outside for a first look with his bride.

We've said it a million times before, but we LOVE when couples do a first look. Not only do you get the opportunity to share this wonderful moment in private instead of on a stage in front of everyone, where your emotions may be stifled a bit, but you also have the opportunity to get lots of photos out of the way. From what we call 'safety photos' of the couple in case something happens and you can't squeeze in those golden hour ones later, to the capturing the bridal party all together before they vanish during cocktail hour, to family photos if everyone is present, to little detail shots that might get lost in the mix once the festivities start ramping up. We promise you'll still get emotional when you see each other at the ceremony!

As though choreographed, a few light showers passed by for good luck while everyone was still inside, and some gusty winds came and went to clear out any insects that might try to be obnoxious throughout the day. With the majority of guests arriving via chartered bus from nearby right before the ceremony, everything was in place and the sun shone down on the meadow where it was taking place.

Jenna and Jason exchanged long, thoughtful, emotion personal vows with one another before saying I do. There were many happy tears shed by both the wedding party and guests as everyone was drawn to their story and words of love for one another. After the first kiss the couple walked back down the aisle and were showered with confetti as their faces reflected the pure joy of their new union.

After the ceremony guests were able to walk over to the nearby cocktail hour area where they were served at the full service outdoor bar and provided lite bites thanks to the exquisite charcuterie table put together by Graze by Elena. Having already gotten the majority of group photos out of the way before the ceremony (wink wink), the couple was able to spend the majority of this time mingling with their guests. We of course couldn't help ourselves to snap a few pics of them however when we saw some epic lighting pouring into the barn!

Want to know one of our favorite things to hear about the details of a wedding? Dinner is going to be from one, or better yet, multiple food trucks! And we love it for the same reason the guests do- options! And let's be honost, it's exceedingly rare that bad food ever comes out of a food truck, especially when it's BBQ from Up In Your Grill or pizza from 3rd Alarm Pizza. Ughhhh sooo good!

After dinner, first dance, and toasts the party kicked into high gear inside the barn. Of course, thanks to the sprawling property at Saltonstall Farm guests were free to wander outside and enjoy a game of cornhole, kick a soccer ball around, or just chill in a chair and enjoy the crisp evening air. And as the night drew to a close, all the guests grabbed a sparkler and gathered around the couple to wish them well one last time!
